My hair has been SO dry lately. I have been on a mission to detangle and moisturize. But I just could not handle it on my own this time. Since relocating to Chicago, I have been researching natural hair salon’s in the area and am hoping to find one as my emergency location - I prefer to do my own hair to:
Save Money… (I look forward to the day that I can drop $100+ every time I go to the salon without flinching. But right now, there are SO MANY other things I can do and need to do with $100 extra dollars every few weeks or even every month.)
Avoid Scissor Happy Stylists… (I just do not get it… But it happens and did happen to me recently. Sad to say, it’s generally female stylists that complain about my length and advise against letting my hair get “too long.” Really? Too long for whom exactly? If it is more than you can handle, please just say so without shaming me for wanting to grow my hair out as long as I darn well please. OK? Thanks.)
To Continue Learning as Much as I Can About Styling and More Importantly, the Health of My Hair (It’s a LOT of work. But I actually enjoy trying new styles before I go to a special event and seeing how creative I can be while developing my personal style.)
First Chicago salon appointment so far:
Chatto’s
*Review with photos soon…*
Preview: GREAT products, very knowledgeable about proper care and maintenance. For the amount of money paid, I am used to leaving with my edges LAID and a style that I would not be able to recreate standing in the bathroom mirror…
